Bridal Bliss: Alysha and Dwayne - Essence.com

Destination: Savannah, Georgia

Our friends Caroline and Misha tied the knot in the historic southern town of Savannah and we were lucky enough to be there with our cameras. The setting felt straight out of an old film, with all the light filtering through hanging moss and the locals' welcoming accent and easy-going lifestyle. It was so clear how madly in love the couple is, so taking good pictures was a piece of cake (er, apple pie).

A Simple and Elegant Wedding - Jeannie and Toby

Jeannie and Toby had their lovely day at the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The venue was an older Brooklyn brick building with lots of character and feels as down-to-earth as their philosophy - "The Society is a democratic fellowship and spiritual home for those who seek a compassionate philosophy of life without regard to belief or non-belief in a Supreme Being." Lots of nice windows and an intimate garden space made for a wonderfully simple and quiet affair that was a pleasure to photograph.
